This Or That Book Tag

I stumbled across the This Or That Book Tag when I googled “fun book tags” and knew that I must do it. It was originally created by Medically-Bookish.

This or That Book Tag

1: Reading on the couch or on the bed?

I can usually read on either but most of my reading lately has been done on the couch. If I lay down on the bed, I find myself easily falling asleep. Although first thing in the morning, I will use my Kindle app first thing to read a couple chapters as I wake up.

2: Male main character or female main character?

I usually read books with a female main character. I do love male character POV as well but, it seems like the majority of the books I read are from a female POV. I honestly think that it’s because I relate to them better and it draws me in as a reader.

3: Sweet snacks or salty snacks when reading?

Usually salty. Especially salt and vinegar chips. Those are my favorites.

4: Trilogies or quartets?

Hmm. I think I’m going to have to say quartets. If I’m really invested in a series, I’m going to want to read more. Or if it’s a small town romance series with alot of interconnecting characters, I’m ALWAYS going to want to read everyone stories to know what happens to them. Those are my FAVORITES.

5: First-person point of view or third-person point of view?

I like both POV types but if I have to choose it would be …. first person. I enjoy seeing the story through the eyes of the person who is living it. In the first person, I feel like you get to experience everything with a touch more emotion. I love connecting with the characters that I am reading about.

6: Reading at night or in the morning?

All day? Ha. But if I had to choose I would probably choose at night before bed. It helps relax me before I fall to sleep.

7: Libraries or bookstores?

Bookstores. I love wandering aimlessly down the aisles and window shopping for books. Admittedly, I do the same thing at my local library but, I do prefer the environment of the bookstore to get lost in especially with a cup of coffee in my hand.

8: Books that make you laugh or cry?

I love when books play with my emotions. I want to feel everything.

9: Black book covers or white book covers?

Black book covers. I’m always afraid that I will get a lighter book cover dirty. I have a tendency to be spill coffee on things. Oops!

10: Character-driven or plot-driven stories?

Give me a character-driven story where the character evolves to help move the plot along. Character evaluation is a MUST for me to be able to fully enjoy a book.
