The Playlist Book Tag

I came across this book tag and thought it looked like alot of fun. I’m not sure who originally started it though so credit to the original creator. Let’s go…

The Rules:

  1. Put your music on shuffle and pick out the first ten songs.
  2. Take each song and match it with a book it reminds you of.

  1. That Wasn’t Me ~ Brandi Carlile // These Things I’ve Done by Rebecca Phillips

To be wrong all along and admit it, is not amazing grace
But to be loved like a song you remember
    Even when you’ve changed

2. Sober ~ Little Big Town // Hang the Moon by Alexandria Bellefleur

You’re like drinking from a never-ending bottle
When I think it’s gone there’s always a little more left
Lay back with you and close my eyes
Let the big ol’ world just spin on by
And sayin’ your name with my last breath

3. Independence Day – Martina McBride // A List Of Cages by Robin Roe

Some folks whispered and some folks talked
But everybody looked the other way
And when time ran out there was no one about on Independence Day.

4. Love Line ~ LeAnn Rimes // Welcome Home by Eric Smith (anthology)

It’s what you find out for yourself and not what you’re fed
It’s what you feel down in your heart and not put in your head
Everyday I pour myself into you hoping that in time
You’ll pour yourself back into me
Solidify this love line

5. The Start Of Something Good ~ Daughtry // The Start of Me and You by Emery Lord

You never know when you’re gonna meet someone
And your whole wide world in a moment comes undone
I know that it’s gonna take some time
I’ve got to admit that the thought has crossed my mind
This might end up like it should

6. Lead me Home ~ Fm Radio // Float Plan by Trish Doller

I am the sweet hush morning calm
I am heavens open arms
I am a thousand winds that blow
Lead me home

7. Mystery Train ~ Bon Jovi // Daisy Jones & The Six by Taylor Jenkins Reid

There are days when she’s a whisper
Nights when she’s a scream
A reason to wake up in the morning
To close your eyes and dream

8. homecoming queen? ~ Kelsea Ballerini // Golden by Jessi Kirby

Look damn good in the dress
Zipping up the mess
Dancing with your best foot forward
Did you want the crown
Or does it weigh you down
Nobody’s feeling sorry for ya

9. Cardigan ~ Taylor Swift // Tiger Lily by Jodi Lynn Anderson

I knew you
Tried to change the ending
Peter losing Wendy
, I

10. Let’s Be Us Again ~ Lonestar // The Story of Us – Susan Wiggs

Even if it takes a while
I’ll wait right here until I see that smile
That says we’re us again

This was such a fun tag! Let me know if you decide to do it.
